| The Detective and the Terrorist
(The parable's explanation) |
| This story is a parable about Pauline Christianity. The girl represents everyone descended from Adam thus who have "original sin", Joshua is Jesus and his father, of course, is 'god' the father. The jump to his death off of the building represents "the passion" of Jesus, but as the story goes, the jump is an understatement of the horrors that the character Jesus had to bear in order to please his unpleased-able overly critical father. The gun is certain damnation and being burned a very long time with a blowtorch is, of course, hell or Hades/lake of fire.
[["It's not my job to be judge, jury and executioner." "That's not why I'm here." "My concern right now is saving this young woman."?Joshua/Jesus]] John 12:47 "And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world." [["But she's imperfect in my eyes", boomed his father, "she's descended from a family of no-good people and in my estimation she deserves to be tortured for just that reason alone if nothing else!" ?Terrorist/'god']] Augustine and Turtillian took Paul's cue and deemed "original sin" what is supposed to be passed down to the decedents of Adam via paternal lines, hence Jesus didn't have original sin because he wasn't born of man (even though he called himself the "Son of Man according to the gospels"). [["Tortured?" asked Joshua. "Yeah, burned nice and slow", said his dad, "ain't I merciful?"]] 'In hell of course. [["Is this the kind of mercy you showed the babies you killed uptown?" asked Joshua.]] Exodus, 11:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. 11:10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and he LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land. This is an example of the 'god' of the bible telling a lie. First he tells Moses that the Pharaoh will let them go after the plagues and to tell the Pharaoh about them. Then 'god' kills the Egyptian first born, including babies (and even the first born of the livestock), THEN 'god' hardened the pharaoh's heart SO THAT HE WON'T LET THEM GO. THIS IS EVIL. Why did he do this? So that they would know he was the lord and learn to fear him. Exodus 14:31 "And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses." [["They had it coming to them!" barked his dad in reply.]] Rom.9:11-22 "For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth. .... For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction." (In other words, according to Pauline Christianity, the first born babies that were killed in Egypt by 'god' just to terrorize a people who were only carrying out 'gods' plans (and even unborn babies that die and go to hell) DESERVE IT, and it is only a show of mercy for 'god' to "spare" others. Paul asks above, who are these "flawed" pottery-people who dare question the perfect potter's right to smash them? Well, if the potter is "perfect" then how is it that the pottery if flawed? Is flawed pottery the fault of the pottery and not the potter?) (How did "unflawed" Adam and Eve "flaw" themselves? Do flaws come from perfection?) Psalms 137:9 "Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones." [["Now these people know who their dealing with here!!"]] Exodus 14:31 "And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses." Psalm 2:8-12 "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery." Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Hebews 10:31 "...It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." [["Once again and for the third time, please don't make me jump off this building to my death". ]] At Gethsemane, Jesus begs 'god' the father at least three times to take "this" cup (of wrath) from him in Mark 14, and even prays until he sweated blood in Luke. [["Look, I'm through talkin'" said his dad. "Jump or don't, it's up to you, but you said yourself why you're here" said his dad. ]] John 12:47 "And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world." Joshua, under duress, and who was by every account a good and innocent man, jumps to his death to save the young woman from certain torture. Jesus' blood pays a "ransom". Matthew 20:28 "Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." Matthew 26:39 "And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." It wasn't Jesus' "will" to die. He was paying a ransom by following 'god's' will. (And to those who suggest it was Jesus' idea to show up and die, this is not biblical. He was "here" to save the world, yes, but it was not his idea or his will to suffer and die (Acts 4:26-30)). [[By every account, Joshua didn't deserve to be killed in such a way. ]] Jesus was without sin, thus innocent, which is why his blood makes such a good sin offering to the 'god' that demands blood or offers torture in return. [[The Detective's father slaps handcuffs on the young woman...]] Romans 5:20 "Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound." Here Paul is saying that 'god' gave the laws so that people WOULD unavoidably sin and thus be damned. Paul also says that you are either a slave to sin or a slave to 'god', ergo "freedom" doesn't exist. The idea is that one is "set free" by Jesus by becoming a slave to 'god'...an automatic absurdity. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (New World Translation) "What! Do YOU not know that the body of YOU people is [the] temple of the holy spirit within YOU, which YOU have from God? Also, YOU do not belong to yourselves, for YOU were bought with a price. By all means, glorify God in the body of YOU people." 2 Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" Romans 6:22 (NAB) "But now that you have been freed from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit that you have leads to sanctification, and its end is eternal life." [[...spins her around and gives her an option. Some would call this offer evil. ]] I call it evil. [["Now, tell me that you love me no matter of how I behave...]] Psalm 2:10-11 "Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling." [[...even though I don't respect you or your kind at all.]] Acts 10:34(KJV) "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:" [[Tell me that you worship me and are my "willing" slave and the choice I forced on my son by extorting him into accepting his death is "good" and the highest form of morality or I'll burn you slowly with my blowtorch. Oh, you won't die right away. I'll make sure of that. I'll burn you for a very, VERY long time so even if you BEG me to kill you, I won't. Go on, tell me that your inexorable fate being in my hands is an example of my "mercy" and that you love me for it. Ha-Ha-Ha!!" ]] Self evident. Conclusion: The Pauline Christian 'god' of the bible is, as described, a terrorist, cruel and evil. I assert that the idea that it's "justice" to burn people in hell simple for the "crime" of being born a descendent of Adam if nothing else unless they worship the extorted death of an innocent man is inherently an evil idea. Jesus' blood was a "ransom" paid to a terrorist (Matt. 20:28) and "fear of 'god' means exactly that (Psalm 2:11) LOGOS |
