| I'm sorry, you are a moral person and have non-self-negating values. You don't value destroying people for your personal profit and are unwilling to call this definition of evil "moral goodness". Morality requires moral choice and moral choice requires knowledge of good and evil. It seems that you have an unambiguous "moral compass" and don't strive to change the rules when your neck is supposedly on the line. This disqualifies you from being "Christian material". Of course, its not whether Jesus is willing to do your time for you. It's a matter of whether you're a rat bastard enough to ask him to; to condone his death penalty so you can be irresponsible regarding your own "debts". However, it seems that you're not a rat bastard. A Christian must be willing to compromise his knowledge of good and evil and thus his sense or morality as well as his or her sense of reality in order to handle and deal with his fears of death and "free floating" sense of guilt (called "sins"). A Christian must be able to say and believe that its morally good to give the death sentence to someone for crimes he didn't commit just so the guilty can get off the hook. If you are unwilling to say and believe that torturing and killing the innocent just so you can get out of the kangaroo-court sentencing that is supposed to be "Just", then you are far too moral to be a Christian as this is a fundamental point in Christian beliefs. 'Sorry about that. |
