You chose "Yes", it is morally wrong to offer human sacrifices to a 'god'
But she was a volunteer. She died for her people and her father's divine cause.

But then again, her motives are not on trial, are they? No one's suggesting that Jephthah's daughter is lacking or less than pristine.

The question is whether or not her father, as planned and for personal profit, offering her up as a virgin human sacrifice to 'god'-Yahweh is right or wrong, good or evil, correct?


We can also imagine that being offered up to a 'god' on an altar in a blood sacrifice ritual is not a pleasant thing. Some would consider it a form of torture.
