My online moniker or "Avatar" if you will is LOGOS, or 'The Dhampire LOGOS'.

This is not the Christian Greek "the word", but rather meant in the pre-Socratic sense of the word.

As Dictionary.com puts it...

"Philosophy.
-In pre-Socratic philosophy, the principle governing the cosmos, the source of this principle, or human reasoning about the cosmos.

-Among the Sophists, the topics of rational argument or the arguments themselves.

-In Stoicism, the active, material, rational principle of the cosmos; nous. Identified with God, it is the source of all activity and generation and is the power of reason residing in the human soul. "

My use of this name is a personal statement about the hijacking and corruption of philosophy and rationality by the 'irrationalists'
(of which the not-so-brilliant IMO Plato was the most famous and influential corruptor) who insist and browbeat others with the claim that they have divine knowledge (but can't support that claim of course).

-"Why 'The Dhampire'?"

[[I was formerly known as "The Vampire LOGOS", but I decided that I'm part vampire, part human, hence "Dhampire" or Dhampir. ;-)   ]]

It serves a lot of purposes.

1. I'm a "vampire hunter" as Christians are vampire wannabe's. I "hunt" Christian vampires by exposing them for what they are. Most of the time, even they don't understand the rhetoric they spout out non-stop. Most certainly don't understand the true nature of Christianity.

2. It lets people know that I don't take myself too 'over the top' seriously, but there is a message behind the silliness.

3. Its provocative. If someone is going to read and/or respond to a post in a debate forum and their choices are a post from Harry, a post from John and a post from The Dhampire LOGOS, whose post do you think they'll take the time to read?

4. In the 'black is white/white is black, good is evil and evil is good/morality is not morality and vise versa' Orwellian doublethink world of Judeo/Christianity, the fellow who identifies Christianity as evil is not identified by the practitioners as a crusader for good but rather evil and a hater of goodness. The ironly of the thing is, it is the Christians that are vampires as Christianity is an evil "vampire cult" where its practitioners seek everlasting life aka immortality via the magic shed blood of innocent Jesus.

John 6:53-57
"Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me."

John 6:61
"When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?"

John 6:66
"From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him."

(John 666, many of his disciples abandoned him.  Ironic, eh?)

5. I'm repulsed by (find repulsive) the Christian crucifix. (But that's just because it symbolizes the supposedly "good" torture and death of an innocent man for the profit of the guilty). But that's not the vampire in me, its the moral part of me that is immune to the machinations of the church. Christianity is immoral. It touts slavery and the exploitation of a person forced to either choose to be tortured and die, or to allow everyone else on earth to die.

6. Its really Christians that are vampiric as they seek to obtain supernatural immortality aka to be "born again with the blood of Jesus"  and gain ever-lasting life aka "supernatural" immortality after death by exploiting the innocent shed blood of Jesus. "The blood is the life", and it is this life giving force that Christians seek to evade "death".  Also, the Judeo/Christian character called 'god' the father relishes the shed blood of the innocent animals, and then progressed up to "savouring" the blood of Jesus, (Ephesians 5:2).
Hebrews 9:22 (NAB)
"According to the law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness."

7. I find it funny when Christians, who believe in talking snakes, a talking donkey in the book of Numbers, and talking shrubbery, etc, argue with me that I'm not a Dhampire, or that supernatural vampires don't exist. (OK, consider me easily amused, lol.)

(This list is not exhaustive :-)   ).

Speaking of which...

-"Is this a hate site?"
Do I hate Christians? No. I don't hate Christians and this is not a hate site. I VALUE people and the objective of this site is to adequately demonstrate how the Christian religion is in fact a detriment to humanity.

-"Is this 'intolerance' and doesn't intolerance suck?"
Universal tolerance is illogical. No civilization can "tolerate" Adolph Hitler, Stalin or Pol Pot. One cannot logically choose to "tolerate" one's destroyer. That would not be a value, but an anti-value. Evil is an anti-value as it seeks to destroy values.

-"Am I making a mistake by thinking of evil as a real thing rather than the 'enlightened' idea that people are merely misled but mean well"?
I'm largely a Rational Egoist, but there are illogical human moralities as well. One of the main ideas of rational egoism is the 'trader principle' that I can make a business trade with Hank and both Hank and I profit from the transaction (because value and worth of a commodity is relative). There need not be a "victim" in any given transaction. A man who buys a rain coat for $5.00 values having that raincoat more than the five dollars. A man who runs into a burning building to save his daughter values the life of his daughter more than his evaluated risk of the loss of his life. However, people CAN choose to be the LOSER in a given situation. It is the DESTRUCTION of values that IS of value to them. This is appeasing evil for evil's sake. It is ultimately illogical as it is paradoxical. This is valuing the destruction of greater values and it is illogical and cannibalistic. A man who serves evil is his own destroyer. This is illogical, but whoever said people were logical? There is evil in the world.

-"Am I a devil worshiper?" "Is Satan my "father" as the fundamentalists love to claim?"
No, even Satanists aren't "Satan worshipers" because Satanism isn't about Satan just as Buddhism isn't about Buddha per se. Anyway, I digress. I'm an atheist, which means that like all atheists, I possess no belief in any 'god' or 'gods', (which is the only proper definition of atheist). (And no, I'm not a "Satanist" by the way, lol.)

-"Am I some sort of socialist anti-American hoser?"
No, I'm an all American guy who grew up deep in the lost dark abyss of the Tennessean bible belt, ironically enough. Does this have anything to do with me being an atheist? Am I "rebelling" against 'god'? No. I don't believe in 'god' because I have no reason to. "I don't know, it's a big mystery, therefore 'god'" is just illogical bad thinking. That makes no more sense than "I don't know, it's a big mystery, therefore leprechauns." I'm not rebelling against 'god' anymore than I'm rebelling against country music as I consider most versions of both to be unbelievably hokey, lol.

As to my patriotism, I served proudly in the U.S. Air Force in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Southern Watch. I spent TOO much time in the Saudi Arabian wasteland. What a throwback culture that is. I believe in and uphold the ideals set forth in the U.S. Constitution. We were arguably the first nation on earth to subjugate the laws of the state to the inherent rights of its citizenry, (which had *NOTHING* to do with Christianity, of course), which is the only logical & sound standard of value regarding individuals within a civilization. Socialism and Communism are unsound for the same reason religion is unsound. When we place things or ideas other than ourselves and our own lives as our primary standard of value, then there will eventually come a day when there is a conflict of interest and guess who will be getting the short end of the stick? It is illogical for the individual to value the system that acts as his destroyer. Socialism, communism and religions with a personal 'god' (aka "Abrahamic" traditions) declare that they are your savior, but will as easily call for you to be the cog that is disposed of and replaced in a moment's notice.

Do I "buy" the WMD story in Iraq, etc? Well, let me put it this way. I think we SHOULD have overthrown the *GOVERNMENT* of Iraq, which is what we did. "The government" is not a person. Why should we have overthrown that regime? There are about 400,000 reasons we've found buried in mass graves. It was the only government regime on earth to have an official "rape-room" and torture room. Any government that tortured and kills people in an act of tyranny, I submit, *IS NOT* a ligitimate governing body. We should have 'gone in' for the same reason 'Clinton got us involved with Bosnia/Hertogovina, i.e. for humanitarian reasons. *IS* that why we went in? No, I doubt it. I was almost embarassed for Colin Powell when he was presenting his case for WMD's and Al-Queda involvement to the U.N. WMD's was obviously used as a legalistic excuse for an operation that was obviously for Geo-Political reasons, and, even though (I suspect) it wasn't a hot bed for terrorism quite yet, it was bound to become one.

-"Am I an asshole?"
I prefer to think of myself as a dick, lol. Dicks aren't afraid to speak their minds and explore new options. Assholes, in contrast have a thirst for power and can't laugh at themselves or the ridiculous bureaucratic system they are operating within.
Dicks can appreciate other dicks, but Assholes resent and loath anyone who doesn't work to make the assholes life easier, even if that means being a yes man or blowing smoke up their asses. Assholes are workaholics that like to pretend to be cool, but typically show their true side soon enough. And that concludes our anatomy lesson for today.

-"Do I expect to effect large changes in the way things are? Aren't I just pissing people off by doing something as futile as trying to piss up a rope?"

No, I don't expect to effect any large changes. BUT I think the perspective and consideration of Christianity being evil SHOULD at least be on the table and people can agree or disregard the issue as they see fit. The point is that thinking is good. My URL being available without alteration or 'tweaking' is one sign that the issue is not being discussed or considered, at least not on a common basis.

The purpose of this site is to generate thought and conversation, not to feed hatred or prejudice.

There are large numbers of people who don't really care one way or the other. They are good people who are not particularly religious minded themselves but don't discount religion. If nothing else, I will expose to these folks the degree that Christians will delude themselves in order to continue to believe the irrational incongruent and contrary ideas they currently hold.
